Sixth Ambulance Delivered to Ukraine in June 2024 by Ambulances for Ukraine - Ambulansseja Ukrainaan ry

Ambulances for Ukraine is thrilled to announce the successful acquisition and delivery of our sixth ambulance, made possible through generous donations. This accomplishment underscores the continued support and solidarity for Ukraine during these challenging times.

In May, after fulfilling donations amounting to 13.300 euros, we purchased a 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, 2.2l, Diesel, from North Ostrobothnia wellbeing services county, Pohde - OYS Hospital Services and Emergency Care.

Ensuring the vehicle's optimal performance was a priority. As with previous ambulances, we focused on proper engine maintenance. Muhkurin Autohuolto generously donated an oil service to keep the engine running smoothly. The sixth ambulance got two rounds of maintenance to ensure operational readiness.

Next, the visual readiness of the ambulance was enhanced thanks to Turun Kymppipalvelu Oy, who donated the paints. This donation made it possible to paint the ambulance, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Niba's Pay & Spray for their excellent work in painting the vehicle.

Recognizing the need for reliable tires, Roihupellon Rengas Oy, with special thanks to Hannu Temonen, donated new tires, enhancing the vehicle’s safety and performance on challenging roads. The new tires ensure that the ambulance is both safer to drive and better equipped to handle rough terrains. The ambulance is also equipped with winter tyres.

The ambulance's medical and hygiene supplies were generously donated by Wulff Naxor and Wulff Oy Ab. These essential supplies are critical for frontline medical care in Ukraine.

Additional signage by taping was provided as a donation by Makerspoint.

The sixth ambulance was officially handed over in Ukraine on June 24-26, 2024 by Toni Immanen and Roni Olin of Ambulances for Ukraine together with Sergeant Sarah Ashton-Cirillo of Territorial Defence Forces of Ukraine.

Ambulansseja Ukrainaan ry - Ambulances for Ukraine - continues its mission to provide critical support where it’s most needed. This sixth ambulance, equipped with essential medical supplies and upgraded for challenging terrains, will undoubtedly save lives and offer hope amidst the ongoing conflict. We extend our deepest gratitude to all our donors and supporters for making this possible.
